Who do you believe when perception is truth? Oleanna, by David Mamet, is
a disturbingly real portrayal of the gut-wrenching struggle between a college
student and the professor she accuses of sexual harassment. Carol, the
student, and John, the Professor, engage as unflinching opponents in an
escalating battle that jeopardizes all we take for granted. Written during the
Anita Hill-Clarence Thomas sexual harassment scandal, Oleanna is a
controversial look at what happens when the lines of communication erode
and political correstness is used as a weapon.
